Hijacking this musebox - CLOSED to lifes_expensive

[Dr. Klim had not been long at Black Jack's clinic. He had asked if he could come by for a drink, and had passed out early and ended up spending the night. It wasn't as though he had a home to go back to, and so the Doctor's hospitality (and her considerable patience with him) was very much appreciated.

He'd overslept that morning. When he woke up, Black Jack had left on some errand. The Doctor's daughter was either out, or minding her own business. He spent the rest of that morning relearning how to cook, making a rather modest and burnt breakfast for himself, and surveying the clinic. Though it smelt like medicine and tobacco, it was a nice place. It felt cozy and open, but he couldn't help but feel that its atmosphere could be improved upon by a small and fluffy domesticated animal.

A rather suspicious-sounding mewling coming from behind the front door eventually drew Dr. Klim from his tour. Hm, that almost sounded like a...]

[A cat. A tiny, skinny, rat of a thing with a lacerated paw, wrapped up in Black Jack's coat as she fumbled with the key to the door. It had hobbled behind her while she had been in town, meowing patheticly until she had scooped it up and taken it with her. Normally she wouldn't have bothered with it, but the animal must have caught her in a charitable mood.]

Hold still!

[But the cat would not stay still, wriggling and mewing as she pushed the door open with her hip. Once she was safely inside, Black Jack let it loose into the house.]
