Hijacking this musebox - CLOSED to lifes_expensive
[Dr. Klim had not been long at Black Jack's clinic. He had asked if he could come by for a drink, and had passed out early and ended up spending the night. It wasn't as though he had a home to go back to, and so the Doctor's hospitality (and her considerable patience with him) was very much appreciated.
He'd overslept that morning. When he woke up, Black Jack had left on some errand. The Doctor's daughter was either out, or minding her own business. He spent the rest of that morning relearning how to cook, making a rather modest and burnt breakfast for himself, and surveying the clinic. Though it smelt like medicine and tobacco, it was a nice place. It felt cozy and open, but he couldn't help but feel that its atmosphere could be improved upon by a small and fluffy domesticated animal.

[She crosses her arms and gives him an amused look this time.]
What caused this fixation on anything feline? Did your parents never let you have a pet?
no subject
But I did adopt a house of cats when I was a kitten meowself.
[He immediately drops the line of conversation, cuddling with the kitty and minding her paw.]
...I have read that animals are good for the health in one's old age, and she will need a pawson to look after her. Can purrrrrlease keep her, if you don't want her?
no subject
[DUDE YOU'RE WEIRD.]
If you want to. It's obvious she doesn't belong to anyone.
...hold on.
[She thinks on this arrangement for a moment, and while it sounds good on the surface, because god knows she doesn't need another animal to get fur everywhere, there might be a flaw in this plan.]
Sigma, where do you even live?
no subject
...Well, meow that you should mention it, I suppaws I have been drifting from hotel to hotel in an overly prolonged vacation. I'm not too fond of my purrent residence, you see.
no subject
You can't keep a cat if you're moving all over the place. You'll stress it out.
And if home is so bad you don't want to be there, then you're not taking an animal into that environment.
[Says the woman who swears she isn't a vet.]

[It's not going to work.]
[...alright maybe it will, if only for the fact Sigma looks so damn pathetic.]
...the cat stays here.
no subject
Oh.... Well.... You'll take good care of her, won't mew?
no subject
I'm not taking care of her. I have other things to do.
[She shrugs dramatically.]
Oh where am I going to find someone to babysit this furball?
[Where indeed.]
no subject
Oh. Oh!
Looking extremely excited about this, he slowly raises a gloved paw. ...Hand.]
Me-ow?
no subject
Yes, you. Who else? If you're that concerned about her, then you can look after her.
[And she's sure she'll regret the next part at somepoint, but she won't dwell on that at the moment.]
You might as well stay here, too.
